The MidiStar IP3 is a digital system especially developed for VoIP applications in small

and medium-sized enterprises. Using IP3 a seamless migration to VoIP is possible.

The system supports 6 analogue, 1 digital and 3 S 0 ports, one 10/100 BaseT interface as well as 80 virtual extensions. These virtual extensions can include MSN subscribers, IP extensions realised via the system phone M61 or the PC-based soft phone and additional IP systems within a wide area network architecture. To handle IP connectivity via the IP system phone M61 or using the soft phone, an IP line licence per extension is required. In a wide area network architecture the SIP proxy is required to connect with other IP systems in the network. Call handling in the IP network is possible with the IP trunk licence, which allows the set up of 2 concurrent IP voice streams. The IP3, with this configuration allows the introduction of VoIP systems into small and medium-sized enterprises as well as IP based voice connectivity between branch offices to reduce call costs.
